The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, driven professional with a passion for business development and sales. Someone who excels at connecting with new people, creating business partnerships, and onboarding clients. This position is central to expanding our network, establishing new partnerships, and securing agreement for our serviced accommodations. In this hybrid role, based in our Amsterdam office with flexible remote options, you’ll enjoy autonomy, responsibility, and the thrill of closing deals.

This is an ideal role for those motivated by performance-based rewards. A base salary provided, this is predominantly a role where your results significantly impact your earnings, with an uncapped commission structure that rewards your dedication and drive.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll play a vital role in expanding City Retreat’s market presence.
- Drive new business development by reaching out to potential clients and managing the end-to-end sales process.
- Lead marketing campaigns, manage subscriber growth and engagement, nurture leads and prospects, create compelling content, and deliver bi-weekly newsletters.
- Build strong client relationships by understanding client needs and tailoring our offerings to provide exceptional solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, manage accounts, and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
- Respond to inquiries, conduct property tours, and collaborate with property owners to negotiate terms.
- Overseeing the website content management and listing deployments.
- Support the operations team occasionally and contribute insights in weekly meetings, along with providing weekly and monthly performance reports.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years in a commercial (B2B) role focused on relationship management and business development.
- Experience in corporate relationship building and deal closing with excellent contract negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and tailor solutions to client needs.
- A results-oriented, independent work style with exceptional presentation skills and fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Experience with any of the following tools, platforms, or processes is a plus: GitHub, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Guesty, HubSpot (or similar), SEO strategies, Leadinfo, Lookerstudio.
